Be wary. The internet is filled with bogus programs laying claim to being legitimate business opportunities - when the reverse is the real truth. Typically, most programs may have a few people making money in their very upper levels, however, a major portion of the people signing up find themselves lacking the skills, resources, mentoring and support they desperately need to succeed. 3. Useful and effective resources, marketing materials and promotional tools. Too many programs load their back offices with outdated and useless junk. You need to be looking for “state of the art” marketing help so you can jump to the front of the line quickly.

4. A program with longevity; new is not always the best way to go - time-tested and proven should be your main concern. If the program has been around for years (yes you read that right) that is a proven system. Something that launches brand new might be okay, but typically these are flash-in-the-pan programs, and a waste of your money.

5. Look for “plug-in ready” programs so you are not spending all your time trying to figure the system itself out. Instead, look for something you can have up and running and generating cash quickly.

6. Spending money on any program requires follow up, right? Look for a system that gives you your own customized set of highly powerful follow-up emails. Follow up is the key ingredient that almost every “wanna-be” marketer fails miserably at… and writing these follow ups is laborious (so you won’t write them and ensure your own failure). Many systems comes with this much-needed marketing tool already taken care of for you. This should be mandatory as you make your money-making, program-to-join decision.

7. In addition to #6 above, to deliver these messages automatically, you need a program that provides a powerful autoresponder so you can instantly communicate with your contacts, answer their questions, and provide direction to them. An effective and efficient autoresponder should never be one of those marketing tools that you put off until later. You need one immediately. List building is critical. Do not say to yourself, “Well I’ll get one later.” If you want to make money online, I repeat, you need one immediately. So be sure to look for a program that provides one for you and has no limitations.

8. An efficient back office is critical. When you join any program, you should have an area where you can log in and see what is going on, how your own efforts are paying off, have access to resources and tools to help you be successful, and so much more. A personalized control panel that is password-protected and allows you access from anywhere in the world is a must.

9. A program with the ability to intelligently track and provide statistics for you. This is similar to #8 above, but in this case tracking is an actual feature - a real tracking tool - and it should be available to you automatically with the program you pick. Sounds like common sense, but many program owners could care less whether they (or anyone else) reply to you. Avoid these con artists.

It’s always very important to thoroughly explore an opportunity before committing to it. You need to be convinced that the program you are considering stands above the rest in terms of quality, support and integrity.

So what has the week taught me?

The first thing is that time waits for no one. Whether you do or you don’t it just keeps marching on. When you look back, there may well be things you wished you had done. OK. That’s fine. I can’t undo the past so I’ll keep looking to the future. Which brings me back to my Blog.

The most surprising thing is that I got some visitors. My first few days. And some posts. Now that is an excellent confidence boost. So I have learn’t something.
The next thing I’ve learned is that I’ve a long way to go before I’m achieving any meaningful results. By that I mean having people who want to subscribe to my Blog. Or something to market from my Blog or even anything worth giving away on my Blog. Any and all of these should be possible from a Blog, Right?

What am I going to do about it? Good question!

I haven’t got a form, so I can’t get names. Even if I had a form, what would I offer people to persuade them they want to give me their name? I don’t have a course to offer, although maybe this blog in itself will turn into one. Assuming that I learn and make it successful, and you follow my progress.

These are some of the thoughts that have come to me over the week. I’ve been away a fair bit this week so haven’t actually made much progress from these original thoughts. Therefore I think I’ll leave it at that for today, and post again as soon as I have some ideas. I’ll give you those and then go and see if I can make them work.

You will be able to take those ideas, see if they work too, or maybe one of them may trigger another idea for you. Either way, let’s hope that one way or another we will help each other make some income on line, working from Home.

I have never even posted a response on a blog before. I’ve obviously been on a few to read articles, never thinking that I could do this. Let me correct that. I have thought about writing a blog, but always thought it was too complicated and technical to be able to own my own!

Well that has changed. All because of a simple to follow course. You’ll notice that there is a space at the top of the blog. That’s for an adsense ad. Apparently these can earn some cash, problem is, that I’ve put my blog up too fast for google to authorise my new account. Let me explain.

I signed up for this course on making money blogging. It was so well presented that I jumped in and began my blog. Probably not a wise move, but the excitement got the better of me. Anyway, I made a good few mistakes, which had to be corrected. That again was easy. Each day Rob, my blog coach, sent a video on how to carry out each step. The videos were so consise and clear that I managed to correct my mistakes.

Should have waited and followed them after receiving all? Never mind. I am making the changes and that will be something that is on going. So bookmark this page and follow my blog development. I know the look and content is going to improve as I follow my guide and learn more about this exciting new medium. (For Me)

The latest trend and probably the most successful way of expressing oneself via the Internet is the blog. What does blogging actually mean? The whole concept revolves around the personal need to express feelings or thoughts, share opinions, spread news or simply have fun. A blog is actually a small individual web page more like a diary that you keep online; it receives regular updates and allows the use of links, photos, videos and extended documents.

Many people were attracted by the “blogging” phenomenon thanks to the great opportunity of making themselves heard by a specific targeted audience. Blogs are not complex web pages, it entirely depends on what the creator wants to share with the world.  When you’ve got great pieces of news, funny links or a hobby to talk about, a blog may be just the right way to open up to an international “community”. Most often, blogs attract more attention than large and well-designed web pages? How is it possible for blogging to have reached such a status?

First of all, blogs generally tackle with one issue of interest for the user; there is fresh and rich informational content, and extended friendly links to other sites or blogs in the domain. It has become common knowledge by now that blogs often receive more traffic than other web pages. Why? The answer lies within the very essence of a search engine structure: what a search engine likes most is fresh and high quality content. This is the main preeminence blogs and the blogging phenomenon has managed to achieve ahead of normal web pages.

If blogging started as the perfect diary online, it has now come to acquire different dimensions, of which the commercial one is the most well-developed. I’ll give you an illustrative example here: let’s say you like gardening, and you’ve also started your own home business of growing plants.
